We have some very exciting news! We have known for some time that we were winners of some kind in this year's 'Green Apple Awards' but it was a real shock when we heard that we'd won Gold! M&S won the same award last year!!
Here's how the day went...
This winter has been amazing for us despite the warm weather. We fulfilled more than a thousand orders in December alone, which given that most of us downed tools for the Christmas break was some going! Thank you so much for all your orders. Your interest in Turtle Doves and what we make is what keeps us in business and gets us excited about the future.

With our wonderful Friends of TD & plenty of new friends joining us through adverts and editorial in the press we have even had to do a couple of nightshifts to stay on top of things!
,…….. ….. Those marks were ‘written’ by Moggy, our nine-week-old half-ragdoll kitten. She likes the bright lights and warmth of my keyboard when she’s not clawing her way up my chest to get to her favourite perch, my right shoulder. Maybe we should have called her 'Polly'.
Hi! Graham here, I've been behind the scenes for years at Turtle Doves and am blogging for the first time ever....about Hygge...
We started making Throws almost 4 years ago when one of our longest serving seamstresses Bec was feeling particularly brave. I say brave because they are no mean feat...laying out over 12 metres of different coloured hand-cut rectangles of cashmere in a pleasing fashion is quite a talent... but I'm getting ahead of myself...
Our 6th anniversary party for our Turtle Doves Gloves was great fun - here are some pictures to give you a flavour of the day. It was lovely to see gloves & other Turtle Doves products from many years ago coming back to visit us - some from as far away as Nottingham (thanks Clare & friends) and we met new friends from Austria too. I can't believe that it's 6 years since the Turtle Doves fingerless gloves design popped into my head...how time flies! To mark this 6 year anniversary and to thank you for all your support, the TD Team and I want to invite you to help us celebrate! We are organising some yummy cake and drinks in the Quarry on Saturday 25th July and would love it if you could join us. Please bring friends, family and any Turtle Doves products – we love seeing ‘old friends’!

It was very difficult deciding but we finally managed to whittle the list down to 3 favourites...so, without further ado *drumroll* we would like to congratulate:
Colour is the perfume of the eye - well, I just made that up but that's how I feel about it!
We spend all day wading through lovely fabrics and it's fascinating to see how colours affect each other. It's really interesting creating colour palettes and we thought that you might fancy a go too.
Well, that was fun! We had lots of fantastic entries to our little poetry competition – thank you so much to all who threw themselves into it!
